Safety Boat Course

The Safety boat course is a development from the PB2 requiring at least 1 years intense powerboat driving experience. It is designed to provide the skills necessary for those who wish to crew a safety boat during club racing or open meetings. The syllabus includes the safe rescue of crews from dinghies, powerboats, windsurfers and canoes; positioning to provide safety cover for racing, and a variety of methods to safely tow another boat. Anyone successfully completing the course will receive the RYA Safety Boat certificate.
