Catering at WSC by the Rustic Chef

It’s been a swift arrival and start at the Club for Martin so we’d like to let you know a bit more about him! Martin Dawkins, aka The Rustic Chef has over two decades in the kitchen, during this time he has earned three rosettes and even a nod from the Michelin guide! He started his career working with Marcus Wareing at Petrus, he then returned to Hampshire to work at Le Poussin under the guidance of Alex Aitken. Here he fell in love with sourcing and using local ingredients, picking food with a low carbon footprint and supporting local producers in Hampshire. More recently he has been known for his cooking demonstrations and recently hosted the Chef’s Demonstration Theatre at the New Forest Show. His philosophy is ‘it’s not just about delicious dishes; it’s about doing right by the environment and our community and letting the flavours of the ingredients shine through’.
